China's medical dressing manufacturing industry is about to usher in a period of rapid development

As an important class of sanitary materials and medical supplies, medical dressings play an important role in my country's export trade. In recent years, my country's medical dressing industry has maintained rapid development, and exports have always accounted for more than 20% of the global export of medical dressings. Since my country is a traditional textile country and the largest cotton producer, consumer and importer in the world, the output of cotton yarn is large, the industrial chain of the textile industry is relatively complete, and it has a good industrial cluster advantage.

Industry analysts from Champ Consulting pointed out that with the increasingly prominent global aging population and the resulting increase in patients with ulcers, bedsores and other diseases, the demand for international medical dressings will continue to grow. In 2013, my country's total export of medical dressings was 2.381 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 3.94%, accounting for 12.31% of medical device exports. In the first half of 2014, my country's total export of medical dressings was 1.254 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 10.84%.

North America is my country's largest export market for medical dressings, with an export value of US$803 million, a year-on-year decrease of 2.03%; Europe is the second largest export market, with an export value of US$782 million.

In 2013, my country exported medical dressings to 195 countries and regions. From the perspective of export regions, North America is the largest export market for medical dressings in my country, with an export value of US$803 million, a year-on-year decrease of 2.03%, accounting for 33.72%; Europe is the second largest export market, with an export value of US$782 million, A year-on-year increase of 7.16%, accounting for 32.86%; Asia ranked third, with an export value of 462 million US dollars, an increase of 2.58% year-on-year, accounting for 19.4%. The three continents accounted for 85.98%.

The top 10 markets for my country's medical dressing exports are the United States, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Venezuela and Australia, with a total export value of 1.639 billion US dollars, accounting for 68.86%. At present, due to the saturation trend of the European and American markets and the fierce competition, my country's medical dressing export enterprises have shifted their market targets to emerging countries.
